Privacy Statement

We, our, and us, when used in this notice, means The First National Bank of Ipswich.

This is our privacy notice for our customers. When we use the words "you" and "your" we mean the following types of customers:

Our consumer customers who have a continuing relationship with us, such as:

  • All IRA accounts for which we act as custodian

We will tell you the sources for nonpublic personal information we collect on our customers. We will tell you what measures we take to secure that information.

Information We Collect

  • Information about your transactions with us, via ATMs, voice response, web site, postal mail and in person.
  • Information about your transactions with other parties.

  • Information from a consumer reporting agency (for example, to verify your identity or to assess your creditworthiness)
  • Other sources with your consent (for example, from other institutions if you transfer into FNBI)

This information is used to develop, offer and deliver products and services; process transactions on your account; respond to inquiries from you; or to fulfill legal and regulatory requirements.

We continually strive to maintain accurate and complete information about you and your account relationship. Should you ever determine that our records are inaccurate or contain incomplete information, please notify us immediately. We will investigate your concern and correct any inaccuracies.

Confidentiality, Security and Integrity of your Non-Public Personal Information

We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to those employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you. Each employee of FNBI is required to follow guidelines established to protect your privacy and confidentiality. Each employee is educated on the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of customer information, and any violations of these guidelines by an employee will subject that individual to disciplinary measures. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your nonpublic personal information.

Nonpublic Personal Information and Affiliated Parties

The First National Bank of Ipswich has affiliates. The groups work together to provide the accounts and services you want. By sharing the information we collect about your accounts and relationships among our family of companies, we can serve you more efficiently and make it more convenient for you to do business with us. We may share information from your applications and external sources with our affiliates in an effort to serve you better.

Note: Medical or health information received, for example, when a customer applies for insurance from us, will not, be shared among our group of companies.

Limiting Information we share with Affiliates

To make your financial life easier, we offer you different ways to manage your money. You also have choices when it comes to learning about new offers and services. For example, you can choose not to receive notification about any offers made by mail, telephone or e-mail. You can also choose not to have information from an application or an outside source, such as a credit report, shared with any of our affiliates. According to your preferences, we will honor your request. Please note that we will continue to share some account information with our affiliates as permitted by law. Nonpublic Personal Information and Nonaffiliated Third Parties

Since we value our customer relationship with you, we will not disclose your nonpublic personal information to nonaffiliated third parties, except as disclosed or as permitted or required by law. Examples of this might include disclosures necessary to service your account or prevent unauthorized transactions.

Nonpublic Personal Information Regarding Insurance or Investment Customers

Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in this disclosure, we do not disclose any information gathered by our Insurance Department and/or our Investment Department with anyone except as necessary to complete authorized transactions or as required by law.

We do not disclose nonpublic personal information about former customers, except as permitted or required by law.

We may disclose the following information to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf:

We disclose the information listed above with companies that perform marketing services on our behalf. You do not have a right to opt out of the disclosure of this information. We may also disclose information about you to other outside marketing services as permitted by law.

Types of Businesses

Here are the types of businesses with whom we may disclose information for outside marketing purposes:

Service providers that perform marketing services for us, such as: Direct mail companies that perform marketing services for us.

When FNBI provides nonpublic personal customer information to a third party with whom we have a business relationship (such as check printing, data processing or statement mailing), our bank will insist that the third party keep this information as confidential as if it were our own.
